Sunday Chat from From My Carolina Home

So much to say this weekend, settle in for a long and picture heavy post. This week has been brutally hot, with highs in the 90s (which is really hot for us) and humidity at 85% first thing in the morning. Ugh, I hate this kind of heat. So, nothing for it but to hide in my cool basement and play with fabric and paper. First, I finished the Japanese prints wall hanging with the gold sashing. Speaking to Carrabus Quilters from From My Carolina Home

This week, I had a speaking engagement, providing the program for the Carrabus Quilt Guild in Harrisburg, NC. Such a great group of ladies! I got there too early, and was set up and ready a good half hour before I needed to be, so I got to talk to a few quilters and see their committee tables. I took a lot of quilts to show, and projects to share.

Visiting the Landrum Guild from From My Carolina Home

Last week I had the pleasure of driving just over the border to South Carolina to visit the Landrum Quilt Guild and do a program for them. The guild selected Decisions Decisions for their program, so I brought a small quilt show to illustrate the concepts in addition to my projector slides. I set up the quilts in the order they were to be shown, then we improvised a screen with a sheet and some music stands for the slides. I still had about 15 minutes to circulate around and chat with members, such fun!

My new program Well Loved Quilt Repair is ready for presentation! The program is available for both Zoom and In Person presentations. I have pulled together my tips and tricks, and organized the program according to the types of repairs needed. The program is estimated to run just over an hour, with extra time for questions.
